When I went to pick up my goddaughter at school today, I saw something out of the corner of my eye that made me freeze in my tracks! In the hallway was a line of about 8 living, breathing Marisols, dancing that dance that she liked so much!! Was it called folklorico?
I asked my goddaughter if we could watch for awhile and she allowed it. I could have watched forever, but I knew that she wanted to get home, so I cut short my lingerings.
Oh! It was so much FUN to watch! They were practicing for something--or maybe it was a dance class. But I could have watched forever.
Does anyone know of anyone who sells folklorico (or whatever the word is) outfits for Marisol?

I've been thinking of making some, but I think there are a couple of people who have already made/sold some too.

Kitschywoman bought one from someone who I think is a board member. Someone should be answering your request soon.

I don't think that I can afford one right now, but I would sure love to know where one might be waiting for me, when I can afford one.

AG Dress Designer makes beautiful folklorico dresses for Marisol. I haven't seen her on the boards for quite a while though.

Does she have a website, or some photo albums that someone has saved links for?

I bought one from an ebay seller, lafada, who does very nice work. I'll change my avatar in a bit to the dress I bought for Marisol. I also bought a couple of things from www.terraexperience.com . These are authentic clothing made by women in Guatemala who rely on the income to send their children to school. I bought the pink tie-dye Nicaraguan dress and also a stunning traditional Mayan outfit. The clothing is much prettier in person.
Edited to add link to Dollies Dressmaker's site:

Thanks so much, Ashley's Mommy!
I think my favorite so far is the one in your avatar! It seems like the ones from Dollies Dressmaker aren't quite full enough, right? Otherwise, I really LOVE her stuff.

Joy, the one in my avatar is pretty full and the quality of the material is excellent. Here is a link to my album that has pics of the dresses I bought from terra experience. The pink tie-dye outfit is the fullest I've found. The outfits I bought are on pages 4 and 5. folklorico and mayan outfits

My mom's friend's daughter dances folklorico. She has a HUGE pink skirt and white blouse. I haven't seen her dance yet but it looks cool.
